CUBO Training events

CUBO works in strategic partnership with University Hospitality Seminars (UHS) to develop and deliver tailored learning and development for its members.

The partnership ensures that courses, seminars and conferences are designed to meet the needs of CUBO members, and give access to preferential rates when making bookings as part of an exclusive relationship to encourage CPD and make high quality training more accessible.

CUBO Study Tour 

Following the successful CUBO study tours in 2013 and 2016, CUBO are delighted to announce that the study tour will become a permanent yearly event.

The programme offers the opportunity for international delegates to visit a range of university accommodation and catering facilities within the UK and learn from a range of sector professionals. The tour concludes with delegates joining the annual CUBO Summer Conference.

CUBO Finance group

 
This group's membership is made up of CUBO members or their colleagues working in, or with an interest in, finance. The group holds two events per year.
 
The last event took place on 27-28 March, hosted by the University of Edinburgh.

All special interest group events are open to CUBO members and their colleagues only. The events are free of charge with members meeting their own travel and accommodation costs.

CUBO Marketing Group

Launched in 2014 the Marketing Group meets twice a year with membership formed of staff who work in marketing within CUBO's areas of business.

The last event took place on Wednesday 10 May 2017 at University of Manchester

CUBO Learning and Development Group

This Group is open to those who have an interest or are experienced in staff development and quality initiatives.  A steering group organises two events per year.  

The last group meeting took place on 10 November in Sheffield.

CUBO Residence Life Group

The group aims to share best practice, ideas and strategy for creating an excellent Residence Life programme within your institution. 

Residence life training events:

RESIDENCE LIFE LEARNING PROGRAMME: CUBO & ACUHO-I LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MASTERCLASS - 11-12 May 2017

This was the first in a series of residential learning programmes supporting careers and the development of Residence Life in the UK. The event will run again in March 2018.
