CUBO Awards - submit your entry for 2016!

Now in its fifth year, CUBO is inviting entries for the 2016 CUBO Awards.

Growing year on year, the CUBO awards now include ten categories across a range of services all dedicated to delivering an excellent student experience.

Sharing innovation and best practice is a key element of the CUBO Awards. Previous winners have showcased exciting innovations and bold new campaigns while demonstrating astute business acumen and incredible professionalism. Our judging panel look forward to find out what has been achieved over 2015.

Once again a new award has been added to the line up for 2016.  The ACUHO-I New Professional award is a jointly sponsored award by CUBO and ACUHO-I (Association of College and University Housing Officers, International.) A niche award, this is a development opportunity for those working in student housing with fewer than 5 years experience. The winner of this category will be fully funded to attend the ACUHO-I Annual Conference and Exposition taking place 9-12 July 2016 in Seattle, Washington.  Full details can be found in the entry criteria

In keeping with CUBO’s aims to recognise the best in high education and raise standards across the sector, the CUBO Awards welcome entries from all higher education institutions. Membership of CUBO is not a prerequisite, apart from the ACUHO-I Professional Award, for which entrants must be members of CUBO and ACUHO-I.  Businesses working closely with CUBO member institutions are also invited to enter the Business Partner of the Year category. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the only award not open for nominations, instead being decided by a panel.

The winners are chosen by a two-step process. In March, the CUBO Awards panel meets to shortlist entries. Shortlists are subsequently made available online where CUBO members are eligible to vote for their choice of winner in each category. The outcome of the vote is strictly confidential, known only to two CUBO executive members until winners are announced on stage at the award ceremony.

All entrants are invited to make their submissions by Friday 26 February 2016. Submissions should be a maximum of 600 words in length and accompanied by up to three photographs. Full details of the criteria for each category and how to enter can be found on the awards section of the CUBO website.
