Ben wins ACUHO-I New Professional Award

CUBO is delighted to reveal the winner of this year’s ACUHO-I New Professional Award. Congratulations to:

Ben Knight, Student Accommodation Administrator, Bath Spa University

Ben was a clear favourite with the judges for the passion and energy that he commits to his role, which came through strongly in the entry.

As winner of this award, Ben will be funded by CUBO and ACUHO-I to attend the ACUHO-I Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, 17-20 June 2017.

Ben said "As a graduate of Bath Spa University, I enjoy working in a role where I have the opportunity to give back and support current students. I am honoured to be receiving the Award, and look forward to meeting accommodation professionals from across the world during my time at the ACUHO-I conference in Rhode Island".

Rob Armstrong-Haworth, Director of Corporate and External Relations at Bath Spa University said "I am delighted that Ben has been selected as winner for the ACUHO-I New Professional Award 2017. Here at Bath Spa University we actively encourage our students and staff to become global citizens - to learn new ways of working in different cultures and countries across the globe - and Ben's trip to America will be the perfect opportunity for him to gain valuable experience to bring back and share with our team."

This jointly sponsored ACUHO-I and CUBO award is a development opportunity for new professionals working in student housing. Entrants are required to have fewer than five years experience in student housing and belong to a CUBO and ACHUO-I member institution.

CUBO are proud to support this opportunity for a new professional to take part in the ACUHO-I Conference. We look forward to hearing about Ben’s trip to Rhode Island where he will have the chance to learn new ways of working, meet new people and share experiences with colleagues in the US.
